Dean Ervin is the Director, Aerodrome Operations, Safety, and Compliance at the Edmonton International Airport, with a robust background in aviation management and a steadfast commitment to enhancing safety and operational excellence. With over 28 years of experience in the aviation industry, he has garnered a reputation for implementing effective strategies that ensure the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance across aerodrome operations.
In this role, Dean is responsible for the comprehensive oversight of aerodrome activities, focusing on safety protocols, operational efficiency, drone development, operations, and compliance. He leads a dedicated teams in developing and executing safety management systems, drone operations and operational compliance initiatives that promote a proactive approach to risk management. He is an active member of Canadian Airports Council, Operations, Safety and Technical Affairs Committee , Board member of Aerial Evolution Association of Canada, and a member of Edmonton Salutes Committee, where he participates in initiatives aimed at advancing industry standards and best practices.
