Mike Morellato has over 20 years of experience in GIS and remote sensing, with a career that has evolved to include drone technology since 2012. His expertise has primarily focused on environmental applications, leveraging advanced geospatial tools to deliver impactful results. Currently, Mike manages the RPAS Division at McElhanney, where he oversees a team of specialists spread across British Columbia and also supports a robust drone program with 170 RPAS pilots. In addition to his management role, he is currently involved in the Flight Operations Working Group for the RTM Trials based out of Edmonton. When he is not managing RPAS-focused projects, Mike also assists others at McElhanney by delivering advanced RPAS training at various branch offices.
