Roger Haessel is the Rural Aerospace Development Manager for Community Futures Entre-Corp, a not-for-profit economic development organization based in Southeast Alberta. Prior to his current position, Roger led the Alberta Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems Ecosystem Project for the APEX Regional Innovation Network of SE Alberta. Roger was formerly the CEO of the Canadian Centre for Unmanned Vehicle Systems and played an important role in securing restricted airspace near the Village of Foremost, Alberta for the research and testing of drones. In 2015, CCUVS transferred management and operations to the Village thereby creating the Foremost UAS Test Range. Roger holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University and an MBA from the University of North Carolina.
