Craig Bloch-Hansen is a Project Manager with Transport Canada’s RPAS Engineering team. Prior to joining Transport Canada they worked in the defense and civil aerospace industry as a Systems Engineer focusing on system design and verification for multiple military and civilian certification projects. Craig has been supporting the development of RPAS regulations in Canada since 2017, leading engagements with Standards Development Organizations (including ASTM, ISO, SAE, RTCA, and IEEE) , drafting safety assurance policies for Canadian RPAS equipment, and supporting R&D efforts both domestically and internationally. Craig is also Canada’s member to the ICAO RPAS panel, and was previously JARUS Vice-Chair (Americas).
