Leanne is a passionate advocate for mental health in first responders, aiming to support peers by promoting wellness and resilience. In her current role as a Wellness Coordinator, with Edmonton Police Service, Leanne focuses on implementing programs and resources that prioritize the mental and physical well-being of her colleagues. Before joining EPS, Leanne spent 7 years with Alberta Health Services EMS as an Emergency Communication Officer and Dispatch Peer Support Coordinator. In her time with Alberta Health Services, she was a peer support member and a member of the Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) team. Outside of work, she finds joy in simple pleasures like vanilla sprinkle donuts, long walks and gin (the best things in life).
