There is a lot of information available to explain the NG9-1-1 objectives, key components, and benefits of this initiative. However, since this is a massive change and handles several new elements, it can be overwhelming to plan and start the implementation. To bring our agencies to the place where they should be when the first ESInet call kicks in. This session is looking to present from the Calgary 9-1-1 perspective, how we planned for the NG9-1-1 transition, what we considered and what we missed, the “growing pains” of transition from an E9-1-1 to an NG9-1-1 PSAPs, where we are right now and what is left. So other agencies that are in a different stage than ours can avoid the roadblocks we have found so far.
