Celene Lemire (she/her/elle) works for E-Comm9-1-1 as the Manager of Culture & Engagement and is a former Deputy Fire Chief with Vancouver Fire Rescue Services. She is a leader in strategic planning, transformation initiatives, systems audits and policy reviews. Celene has worked within private and public sector organizations, and has focused on addressing systems of inequity, building cohesive teams and measuring internal workplace culture
She holds multiple certificates in change management, anti-racism, gender-based analysis, equity & inclusion as well as Emergency & Disaster Management and Incident Command Systems. Celene is a graduate of the University of Calgary, holds Master's degree in Forensic Psychology and winner of the Top 40 Under 40 Award (Edmonton).
In addition to internal work, she has publications in Canadian Firefighter magazine and has been privileged to act as a key-note speaker for the Fire Service Women of Ontario Symposium, presenter at the Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs and for the Fire Chiefs Association of British Columbia.
