Gail is the Director of the NB911 Program. Born and raised in Campbellton NB, Gail is a graduate of St. Thomas University with a double Major in Psychology and Sociology. Beginning her career as a telecommunicator with the Department of Health and Community Services Emergency Social Services team, Gail moved to the 911 community in 1997 with the City of Fredericton as a Telecommunications Operator, and was shortly promoted to a supervisory role. Seconded to the NB911 Branch in 2011, she filled the roll of the Program's subject matter expert, reviewing system performance work with partners and leading projects like public education campaigns, and the technical project that so that hearing and speech impaired persons could text 911.
Promoted to Assistant Director for the NB911 Transition Program March 2022, and Acting Director in July, Gail’s extensive experience and detailed understanding of PSAP operations, NG911, and understanding of the national topography around coordination of emergency response and 911 services will service us all as we work together to transform the NB911 Program.
Gail maintains excellent working relationships with key 911 stakeholders in NB as well as across Canada as a member of the Canadian Radio - Telecommunications Commission’s Emergency Services Working Group.
