Andrew Renfree is the 9-1-1 Program Manager with the Alberta Emergency Management Agency (AEMA). He is the current Chair of the Canadian NG9-1-1 Coalition and he is involved in national and provincial 9-1-1 initiatives. Andrew has been with AEMA since 2009 and has led government business continuity planning, and public alerting for the Government of Alberta prior to his current role. During emergency activations of the Provincial Emergency Coordination Centre, Andrew has assumed roles in the plans, operations, and logistics sections. He was a Duty Officer during the 2011 Slave Lake Fire, Plans Chief during the 2013 Southern Alberta Floods, and Operations Chief during the Wood Buffalo wildfire in 2016 and High Level fire in 2019. Most recently, Andrew was the Logistics Chief for the 2023 Alberta spring wildfires. In his spare time, Andrew enjoys community involvement and spending time with his wife and two children.
