"Jocelyn James leads the Saskatchewan RCMP Operational Communications Centre as its Manager — a role she has held since 2016. Her entire 25-year RCMP career has been spent inside the OCC, where she has worked across nearly every position in the unit before taking the helm.

Under her leadership, the Saskatchewan OCC handles more than 366,000 calls for service annually — over 4,400 of them classified as Priority 1 emergencies. She has guided her team through some of the most consequential events in the province's recent history, including the September 2022 mass casualty homicides at James Smith Cree Nation and Weldon, the Humboldt Broncos bus collision, and the line-of-duty murder of Constable Shelby Patton.

In 2023, she was named the RCMP National Operational Communications Centre Commander of the Year — an honour reserved for those whose work consistently exemplifies the RCMP's core values.
