Kim has 17 years of experience in the public safety industry. First, as a call-taker and dispatcher for Calgary 9-1-1, and now as the business analyst that navigated the City of Calgary through their initial mission, the transition to receive voice calls from the NG9-1-1 network. She continues to support the future NG9-1-1 missions, preparing for the changes to come at Calgary 9-1-1. Kim is also a co-chair of the NG9-1-1 Transition Considerations and Communication task (TIF85) under the Emergency Services Working Group (ESWG), working to ensure accurate tracking of the transition and preparing communications to local governing authorities and PSAPs about the process. She is also a liaison between the ESWG and the Alberta E9-1-1 Advisory Association, the provincial association representing PSAPs in Alberta.
