Lisbeth (Lis) Garcia joined the City of Calgary in March 2019 and has been on the NG9-1-1 mission since May 2020. As Project Manager, she led the charge — coordinating technical and operational subject matter experts and business analysts — to bring Calgary 9-1-1 safely into the Next Generation era. On October 30th, 2025 the mission reached its milestone: a successful transition to NG9-1-1. But the journey doesn't stop there. Lis continues to navigate the post-transition landscape, driving upgrades and charting the course for what comes next — because in this mission, liftoff is just the beginning.
