Alex’s work and academic experience has focused on remote sensing and innovation. His passion for finding solutions to complex challenges has led to a number of industry partners adopting new technologies and solutions to solve real world business problems. He believes in the mantra of deploy or die not publish or perish and while still being a passionate University instructor, brings over ten years of independent forest consulting experience to any project he is involved in. His work experience includes projects and training seminars in the United States, Ghana, India, Sweden, China, and across Canada. He has spoken as a keynote speaker at prestigious conferences including the IUFRO world forestry congress and the Ontario Forest Industry Association. He bridges the gap between academic leading-edge technology and practical business solutions. He also designed the RPAS challenge on the Amazing Race Canada and has led training seminars on drones in Canada, Ghana, India and Sweden.
