Andrea Chapman is a psychiatrist at BC Children’s Hospital and clinical professor in the UBC Department of Psychiatry. She is the Director of Consultation-Liaison Service at BCCH, the psychiatric service that works with children/youth admitted to the medical wards. Her area of interest is in pediatric somatization; she has developed family and professional resources for pediatric somatization, participated in research on group therapy for somatization, and co-authored articles on somatization and the mind body connection.
