Brooks is the Vice President, HSE & Loss Control with NorLand Limited. He has been a member of the BC Construction Safety Alliance Board of Directors since 2009 and served as Chair of the board from 2013-2014
He was appointed to the WorkSafeBC Board of Directors as the Health & Safety Representative in September of 2015 and reappointed in December of 2016, 2018 and 2019. He completed his six years on the BOD in September of 2021. Brooks also currently serves as Treasurer of SkillPlan and is a trustee with the Construction Industry Rehabilitation Plan. He holds a Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety from BCIT and is a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP). He obtained the Chartered Director (C.Dir.) designation from The Directors College (a collaboration agreement between McMaster University and The Conference Board of Canada), on May 26th 2017.
