With over 20 years of experience, Kevan’s focus is construction risk management with a specialization in performance security. Areas of expertise include contract surety, subcontractor default insurance (SDI), project insurance, contract review, contractual modelling, and general commercial insurances.
Kevan started his career at the largest global construction broker where he serviced major construction accounts for 10 years. He subsequently worked at one of the largest Canadian brokers where he sat on the leadership team and managed the construction and surety department. He is currently Vice-President of Construction at HUB International.
He has sat on several boards including the Surety Association of Canada (SAC) as past Chair and currently sits on the Board for the Grand Valley Construction Association (GVCA).
Kevan has provided lectures and/or been a panel expert for several organizations including the Ontario Bar Association, numerous municipalities, various construction associations, and major construction companies.
He was also part of a sub-committee that assisted the Attorney General of Ontario to draft the now Construction Act in Ontario which became law in 2018.
