Speaker Bio
Jamie Jeffreys is a Registered Professional Forester with 25 years of experience working throughout BC in forestry and natural resource management. She is the Assistant Deputy Minister, South Area with the Ministry of Forests and lives in Kamloops.
Jamie graduated from the UBC in 1999 with a BSc. Forestry degree. She has since worked in various regions of the province for consultants, the forest industry, Indigenous organizations, BC Wildfire Service, and the Ministry of Forests. These opportunities enabled her to gain experience and exposure to a broad range of natural resource management projects, challenges, and opportunities. She has held a variety of positions, from field technician work to supervisory and manager roles. Jamie served on ABCFP Council from 2018–2020 (now the FPBC Board) and joined again in 2021 as Vice President.
Jamie lives on a small acreage with her family where they enjoy riding horses, skiing, hiking, and anything outdoors. She and her family are avid 4H members where they raise and show Angus cattle.
