Kelly Kitsch, RFT, is a forest professional with 33 years of experience working for provincial and municipal governments. She has a diploma of technology from BCIT, and a certificate in applied leadership from the Justice Institute of BC, and has spent the past 28 years as a forest technologist for the City of Mission, working for Tree Farm Licence 26. Kelly is also the current Forest Professionals British Columbia (FPBC) Board Chair.
Kelly’s responsibilities with the city lie in operational planning and permitting, silviculture, forest education and recreation, and community relations. Throughout her career, she has developed the ability to create partnerships with outside agencies and stakeholders, as well as government-to-government relationships with the First Nation communities in which she lives and works.
Kelly has been part of many provincial working groups, including those for intensive silviculture and old growth, and is passionate about community forestry and providing youth with forest education opportunities.
