Julius Huhs, RPF, RFT, is sustainable resource manager for the Forest Science, Planning, and Practices Branch in the Office of the Chief Forester, Ministry of Forests.

Julius graduated from the Georg August-Universität in Göttingen, Germany, then obtained a forest technology diploma from Selkirk College, and next earned a master of sustainable forest management degree from UBC.
He has worked as a forest technologist for a consultant and first joined BC Timber Sales in 2011. He joined the Okanagan Shuswap District in 2017 and started the wildfire risk mitigation program. Julius joined the Office of the Chief Forester in 2019, working first as a values co-ordinator on the sustainable forest management team, then as the team lead. He is currently manager of the sustainable resource management section.
