Jonathan Armstrong, RPF, is the vice-president of forest stewardship and fibre supply for Western Forest Products. He is responsible for timber supply, strategic planning, and silviculture, as well as the procurement, marketing, and selling of logs and residual products.

Over his 30-year career, Jonathan has held a range of roles in the forest industry on both the coast and in the Interior of BC.

Jonathan holds an honours bachelor of science in forestry degree, as well as a diploma in integrated resource management from Lakehead University.

His work over the past 10 years has focused on aligning Western’s manufacturing facilities with the sustainable timber supply resource and to maximize the return to the forest. As Western has entered into the glulam production business and other higher value engineered products, Jonathan has worked to identify the log supply available to support those businesses.
