Speaker Bio
For a little more than a decade, Keeley has emerged as a trailblazing leader, mentor, and advocate for under-represented genders seeking entry into professions where gender representation is lacking. After the successful completion of Women Building Futures’ Journey Women Start program in 2011, Keeley has become a highly skilled Journeyman Red Seal and B Pressure Welder. In 2012, seeking to expand her expertise, she ventured into the rope access industry and achieved the esteemed status of being one of the world's only 120 Level 3 Rope Access certified female technicians, a remarkable accomplishment in a field with strong male representation. Adding to her already diverse resume, Keeley has recently taken on a new role as a project coordinator at PCL Industrial Management.
Keeley’s dedication and achievements in her career, along with her passion for advocating for diverse and inclusive workplaces, have earned her many accolades, including being named one of Canada's Top 100 Most Powerful Women in 2020 and 2021, along with also receiving the Queen Elizabeth Platinum Jubilee Medal in Alberta this past January. Keeley's personal struggle to create a better future for herself and her children has ignited a fire within her, empowering her to speak up, guide, and mentor other under-represented genders in their own pursuit of success.
