Marcella Cassiano has been an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice at the University of Winnipeg since 2023. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from Brazil, a master’s degree in Sociology from Shandong University in China, and a PhD in Sociology from the University of Alberta in Canada (2020). Her research centers on surveillance and governance, prison policy, and the occupational health and wellness of public safety personnel.
