Negar Roghanian is a Senior Materials Engineer at WSP Canada with more than 15 years of combined industrial and academic experience in structural materials engineering. Her expertise includes concrete design, durability assessment, condition evaluation, and the repair and rehabilitation of concrete infrastructure. Her work integrates applied research with engineering practice, with a focus on remote assessment technologies, sustainable construction materials, innovative repair strategies, and long-term performance of concrete systems.

She earned her PhD in concrete repair from the University of British Columbia (UBC), where her research led to the development of an advanced protective coating for mitigating biocorrosion in sewage concrete pipes. She continues to contribute to academia as an Adjunct Professor at UBC, supporting collaborative research at the intersection of materials science, infrastructure resilience, and sustainability.
