Rocio L. Segura is an Assistant Professor in the Group for Research in Structural Engineering (GRS) within the Department of Civil, Geological, and Mining Engineering at Polytechnique Montréal. Her research focuses on the seismic performance and resilience of hydraulic infrastructure systems, with particular emphasis on advanced numerical modeling, structural response assessment, and the integration of Potential Failure Mode Analysis within performance-based engineering frameworks. She has contributed to dam safety and risk assessment studies in both academic and consulting settings, bringing expertise in nonlinear time-history analysis, multi-hazard assessment, fragility modeling, and damage mechanics of concrete structures. She is also actively engaged in educational and outreach initiatives promoting infrastructure equity, community resilience, and broader access to STEM fields for underrepresented groups.
