Andy Small is a geotechnical engineer based in Fredericton, New Brunswick with Klohn Crippen Berger. He has over 35 years of experience in embankment dam design, construction, safety assessment and closure. Andy has been an active member of the Canadian Dam Association for over 27 years and the International Commission on Large Dams for 12 years. Andy has worked on tailings storage facilities and water retaining dams in Canada and internationally. He has been involved in the development of several guidance documents related to dam safety, led several workshops and short courses, and published many papers.
