Allan Powelson, RPF, began his involvement in BC forestry as the district silviculturist in the
former mid-coast forest district of the forests ministry in 1990. 

In 1995, he formed his own consulting company and took on a wide range of ventures related to
a variety of aspects of forest management. 

In 2006, he returned to the ministry and worked in various positions in the Office of the Chief
Forester until 2016, when he joined BC Timber Sales, working his way through various
management roles until becoming the executive director in 2022.
