As acting director of professional practice, standards, and development with Engineers and Geoscientists BC, Lindsay Steele, P.Geo., FGC, is responsible for setting practice expectations and obligations, supporting registrants in understanding these expectations and obligations, and assessing compliance with requirements.
In this role, she oversees the management of practice and competency standards and guidance, the continuing education program, and the individual and firm audit and practice review programs.
Lindsay has 20 years of experience in mining and mineral exploration, as well as professional regulation. In her past roles, she worked in the resource sector in mining and in the consulting sector, working on remote exploration projects throughout North America. She holds an ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification and recently completed the UBC Organizational Coaching Program.
