Nick Arkle is the CEO of the Gorman Group, a family-owned and operated forest products company based in West Kelowna. The company produces primarily specialty products that are sold in more than 30 countries.
Prior to his current position, Nick served as chief forester of the Gorman Group, which he has been connected to since 1975.
Nick graduated from the forestry technician program at BCIT in 1980, then earned a bachelor of science in forestry from UBC in 1984. He became Registered Professional Forester in 1987.
Nick has represented the forest industry and its interests on many regional and provincial initiatives and was the chair of the Council of Forest Industries (COFI) from 2011 to 2014. He currently sits on the COFI board and is a board member for the BC Lumber Trade Council.
Nick was also a member of the then Association of BC Forest Professionals (ABCFP) Board, and was president for the 1999–2000 term.
