Speaker Bio
Chad Tenney is a respected leader and visionary in British Columbia's road-building and heavy civil construction industry. With more than three decades of experience, Chad has played a defining role in shaping the Hall Group of Companies since its inception in 2010-helping guide its strategic direction, operational excellence, and sustained growth into one of Western Canada's most integrated construction organizations.
A graduate of the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Geological Engineering, Chad began his career with the BC Ministry of Transportation, working on infrastructure projects in communities across the province. This public-sector foundation, combined with his subsequent leadership roles in civil construction, gave Chad a deep, practical understanding of how roads, communities, and economies connect.
At Hall, Chad has been instrumental in delivering some of the company's most complex and high-profile infrastructure projects throughout British Columbia. Known for his collaborative leadership style, he brings together owners, partners, communities, and project teams to deliver safe, efficient, and enduring results. Today, Chad oversees company-wide operations and leads a workforce of more than 700 people, supported by a trusted network of industry partners and subcontractors.
Beyond project delivery, Chad has helped build Hall's diversified operating platform from the ground up-including All Roads Construction, Hall Shoring & Foundations, Vancouver Sand & Gravel, and Hall Mechanical Services.
Equally important to him is culture: Chad is deeply committed to leadership development, safety, and creating an environment where people are proud to build their careers-resulting in a strong, values-driven organization with exceptionally low turnover.
Widely regarded as both a builder and a mentor, Chad Tenney continues to influence the future of road building in British Columbia through innovation, collaboration, and a steadfast belief that great infrastructure starts with great people.
