Kelly Power is the EDIA Director for the UBC and has dedicated her career to enhancing opportunities for equity-deserving groups in the skilled trades. In 2009, she successfully obtained funding to establish the Office to Advance Women Apprentices and was appointed to the Provincial Advisory Council where she spent 10 years advocating for Employment Equity Plans. In 2015, Kelly established her own consulting company specializing in workforce development and training to create employment opportunities for equity-deserving groups. Kelly currently manages UBC’s Diversity & Inclusion in Apprenticeship Project, dedicated to developing EDIA processes that promote equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.
