Michael Cameron is the Dean Community Development at Assiniboine Community College (ACC). He possesses extensive college leadership experience leading ACC’s Continuing Studies, Contract Training, Access Programs and Indigenous Affairs departments. Michael spent three years with the ITA in BC from 2016 to 2018 as the Director of Indigenous Initiatives, where he developed their Indigenous Inclusion Strategy. Michael has dedicated his career to bringing relevant education and trades training to rural and remote communities across Turtle Island. He recently had a paper published in the International Journal of Work Integrated Learning titled,” Community-based access to apprenticeship: An Indigenous work-integrated learning model”.
