Liz Sandwith is a Red Seal in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning who spent her apprenticeship and beyond doing commercial HVAC/R service for Black &
McDonald and is a proud UA Local 325 member in Moncton, New Brunswick. Her current role is the NBMAP Coordinator (New Brunswick Mentor/Apprentice Program) teaching soft skills to mentors and apprentices in skilled trades, with the goal to enable apprentices to get the most out of their apprenticeship experience. She also provides support to both STEP (Skilled Trades Exploration Program) and New Boots-Progressing Women in Trades and is training to become an NBCSA Trainer. Her accomplishments and volunteer experience include:
• She was the first Red Seal woman in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
in her province and is an NBCC St. Andrews Alumni.
• Board member the Apprenticeship and Occupational Certification board for New Brunswick.
• Graduate of CAF/SWiT’s National Leadership Development Program for Women in Skilled Trades.
• Former Skills Canada New Brunswick Competitor.
• She is a member of the Program Advisory Committee for Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
• Chair of the New Brunswick Chapter of CBTU’s Build Together-Women of the Building Trades.
