Dr. Jeremy Laliberté is a Professor and Associate Chair for Lab Operations and Research in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Carleton University and the Program Director of the NSERC CREATE Uninhabited aircraft systems Training, Innovation and Leadership Initiative (UTILI). Dr. Laliberté’s research is focused on novel air vehicle design with the goal of improving safety, increasing fuel efficiency and enhancing air vehicle performance. From 2001 to 2008 he was a Research Officer with the NRC Institute for Aerospace Research in the Structures and Materials Performance Laboratory. He is a professional engineer (Ontario), holds a small RPAS pilot certificate (advanced operations, flight reviewer), is a member of the Canadian Aeronautics and Space Institute, Aerial Evolution Association of Canada, and the Model Aeronautics Association of Canada, and an Associate Editor for the Journal of Drone Systems and Applications.
