Speaker Bio
Hello! My name is Stephanie Hogewoning, my story begins with graduating from the avionics program at SAIT in 2006. From here I embarked on a dynamic career journey as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer "E" that has taken me across North, Central, South America and Antarctica.
Driven by a desire to share my knowledge and expertise, I eventually returned to SAIT, where I took a role as an instructor in the Avionics program. Through dedication and hard work, I have steadily progressed to become the Academic Chair of the aviation programs, a position from which I have been able to steer the programs through numerous triumphs and trials.
In my capacity as Academic Chair, I has been instrumental in fostering a culture of excellence and innovation within the programs. I am committed to elevating the SAIT brand by delivering world-class training and forging strong partnerships with industry stakeholders. With the knowledge skills and abilities I am able to gain through the MAIS program at Royal Roads, I will be better positioned to continue making significant contributions to the field of aviation and to the success of SAIT's programs.
In my personal life I am a very proud mother of 2 human children and one fur baby, that I share with my wonderful husband Dennis. Dennis also has a background in aviation which is ultimately what brought us together. We all live together in Airdrie, Alberta and enjoy spending time together at home during the winter months and then traveling around with their trailer during the summer.
