In this presentation, we will delve into the future of public safety communications through the lens of Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1) science and technology investment. The fast pace of technology advancement presents both opportunities and challenges for the public safety sector. It's crucial to transform the emergency communication systems to meet the evolving public safety needs. This presentation will showcase the importance of advancing NG9-1-1 S&T, highlight Canadian Safety and Security Program (CSSP) work, bring awareness of Centre for Security Science (CSS), promote dialogue and collaboration with first responders, other stakeholders, industry, and academia to address challenges and drive innovations for public safety communications.
