Mary is the Program Manager with the CWB Welding Foundation. A national registered charity, the Foundation’s vision and mission is to reduce barriers that affect various key groups to increase awareness and encourage all individuals to reach their full potential in a welding or related skilled trades career. Mary has been a supporter and advocate of skilled trades for many years and continues this passion as a director on the board for Skills Ontario. She worked for several years in apprenticeship with both the Government of Ontario and the Government of Alberta, as well, she was the Manager of Skilled Trades for Six Nations Polytechnic in Brantford, Ontario. As an advocate of women in the trades, Mary has volunteered her time with several Women in Trades and Technology (WITT) groups including Mohawk College and the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) in Edmonton. While at Six Nations Polytechnic, she served as Co-Chair for the Skilled Trades Alliance of Brantford, Brant, and Six Nations to promote skilled trade careers in the area.
