Lindsay Amundsen is the Director of Workforce Development with Canada's Building Trades Unions (CBTU). For over a decade, Amundsen has built out CBTU's workforce development portfolio, focusing on the recruitment and retention of workers from underrepresented portions of the population through promotion, research and development of programs and supports to ensure successful completion of apprentices into a lifelong career in the skilled construction trades. This has included working with a multitude of industry partners, CBTU affiliates, federal and provincial governments. Amundsen is a graduate of the University of Manitoba and the Harvard Trade Union Program; she is the Chair of the Governance committee on the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity in Ottawa and was a participant in the Governor Generals Canadian Leadership program.
