Canada’s transition to Next Generation 9-1-1 replaces our legacy network with an IP-based, multimedia platform which is capable of transmitting text, images, video, and precise location data. This change brings greater speed, accuracy, and situational awareness to emergency responses, but also introduces new technical and implementation complexities.

This session explores the structure and rationale of End-to-End Testing in NG9-1-1, from understanding how a call flows through new networks to identifying key testing categories and necessary roles among industry stakeholders. Attendees will gain insight into how NG9-1-1 testing can validate system reliability, interoperability, and performance under real-world conditions, and gain confidence as Canada continues its nationwide rollout.
