With nearly 30 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, Ofir Smadja is a recognized leader in wireless, IP, and end-to-end network testing, as well as a respected authority on Canadian regulatory and public safety communications.
As the founder and CEO of COMsolve Inc., Ofir has built and led a team of highly skilled professionals delivering innovative, standards-compliant telecom solutions. His extensive hands-on expertise spans core, edge, and wireless networks, with a deep specialization in end-to-end IP testing, validation, and interoperability across multi-vendor environments.
Throughout his career, Ofir has held senior technical and management roles at leading firms such as General DataComm, NetTest, and Redline Communications, where he led global teams supporting Tier-1 service providers and operators. His work has consistently focused on ensuring network reliability, scalability, and compliance in rapidly evolving telecom ecosystems.
Under his leadership, COMsolve has played a central role in major national initiatives, including the implementation of Wireless Number Portability (WNP), Enhanced 9-1-1 (E9-1-1), and the ongoing deployment of Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1). COMsolve continues to provide testing, validation, and onboarding services supporting CRTC mandates and ensuring interoperability across Canada’s public safety infrastructure.
In 2025, Ofir completed his Master of Business Administration (MBA), strengthening his ability to bridge technical innovation with strategic business execution.
