Experience of CDA Young Professionals at Training Workshop in Ethiopia - Webinar

NOVEMBER 20  |   11:00AM - 12:00PM CST   |  ONLINE - ZOOM WEBINAR

Grace Gitzel (KGS Group) and Scott Riege (Klohn Crippen Berger) will describe their experience attending 3 days of dam safety training in March 2025 at Koysha Hydroelectric Project in Ethiopia. This opportunity arose from CDA’s collaboration with NELSAP and ENTRO under the Nile Basin Initiative. Young professionals from ten Nile Basin countries, Canada, Slovenia and the USA participated in the training, and the expert instructors who shared their knowledge included Pierre Choquet (RST) and Dami Adedapo (KGS Group) from Canada. Similar training events are planned for the future.

This webinar will be engaging for all members of the dam community – young or otherwise, from Canada or elsewhere - who have an interest in dam safety capacity building, international experience, and RCC dams.
