Kevin Webber, RPF, has been with the Ts’elxwéyeqw Tribe since 2010 and in the position of forestry manager for the past 10 years, overseeing planning, operations and reforestation.
Managing forest tenures in the Lower Mainland on behalf of seven First Nation communities presents a complex environment through which to navigate forest management initiatives. Respecting First Nations and land issues of cultural importance, urban interface, species at risk, and important wildlife, recreation and public use, visual resource management, biodiversity and old growth, fish and water, soils and slope stability, and more provides an endless supply of learning opportunities for any forester wanting to dive head first into the deep end of the pool.
Kevin is lucky to be employed under an executive director and board of directors who push and inspire him to find solutions and think beyond the status quo.
Aside from tenure management, Kevin has been board president for Woodlots BC since 2023 and has been president of the Fraser Valley Woodlot Association since 2019.
