The Honourable Rajan Sahwney, Alberta Minister of Advanced Education, will speak about the vital role that apprenticeship education and skilled trades professionals play for our province. She will also highlight the key initiatives within Alberta’s apprenticeship system that aim to support the rapid growth and evolution of skilled labour needs for industry. Minister Sawhney will then be joined by Alberta Board of Skilled Trades member Nancy Suranyi (Namao Auto and RV Repair), Canadian Apprenticeship Forum Board members Shaudia Ricketts (Kiewit Corporation) and Keeley Prockiw (PCL Industrial Management), and Emma Pollard (The Office to Advance Women Apprentices Alberta) for a panel discussion on the profound impact of women in leadership roles within apprenticeship education and the trades sector.  The session will be moderated by Laura Jo Gunter, NAIT’s President and CEO.
